George CaseyGeorge Casey is a Human Resources Development Manager with a national retail company. He has over twenty years of experience in labor relations, succession planning, employment, benefits administration, and human resources development administration in retail and financial corporations. George holds a BA and MA, from George Washington University in Education and Counseling. Prior to beginning his human resources career he taught special education in high school and special center settings.George is currently completing a doctoral program at The Union Institute, Cincinnati, Ohio. His Applied Anthropology and Organizational Change studies culminate with a dissertation titled, Mid-level Managers Experiences of a Leveraged Buyout, Downsizing, and Reengineering. George participated as a research assistant to Dr. Michael Maccoby in a Georgetown University Medical Center action research process as a part of his doctoral internship. He has also worked with Dr. Maccoby and Dr. Richard Margolies on an earlier action research project. He is a member of the research team at the Project on Technology, Work and Character conducting the study on Leadership for Health Care in the Age of Learning. This research is funded by a grant provided by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. As an active participant of the Social Character Workshops, George has conducted social character interviews of medical leaders and educators. George has also participated in a longitudinal biopsychosocial National Institute of Health study conducted by Samuel Silbergeld, Ph.D., M.D.
